We moved - 3 days, countless rest stops, stir crazy children, beautiful countryside, sleepless nights, Pea Soup Andersen's, and one car accident. We made it by the skin of our teeth, but with all of our original body parts still intact. It was a journey, an adventure, a bonding experience, and it was fun. Most importantly, I want to acknowledge that none of this would have been possible without having our wonderfully loving and supportive family by our side. Success, it feels so good when shared with loved ones.
We moved to the land of rain and snow,
for which we were grossly under-prepared;
to the land of brilliantly hued doughnuts,
where children continue to grow before our very eyes.
It has taken us a bit longer to settle into this new place than I had expected. I still refer to our previous place as "back home". Although, now that I have my new license plates, I know it's legit. We live here.
