There have been some changes in our household this year. Chiefly, the fact that my biggest kid decided that he wanted to try going back to public school.
To say the least, it was very difficult for me to give the 'ok' on that. Of course, with every major decision there are going to be benefits and drawbacks, as well as lifestyle adjustments to be made. In doing my best to remain positive, I will say that I'm hoping the benefits will soon outweigh the drawbacks.
I will admit that after 2 1/2 years of home education, I was totally paranoid about how well he would fit in developmentally with the other kids. So far, other than the fact that he is 'the new kid', he doesn't stick out like a sore thumb. Some of the kids remember him from kindergarden, so it's not like he's fresh off the home-schooling boat.
He comes home happy. That's good.
Here's an extra reason for him to be happy; this little pencil case. Isn't it great? I thought this would be a lot cooler than the plain clear plastic ones that all the other kids have. I just hope it doesn't get him into trouble. heh
Made by the most awesome Steph at zomb.
I love this! All the best to you, your oldest babe, and the beloved rest of yours!
